Hippy Heaven endeavours to do all we can to help the planet. We prioritise our responsibility as social citizens above making a profit.
Here are a few of the things we are currently doing to be more environmentally sustainable:
* Purchase our goods from individuals we know personally who most of the time make the products listed on this website themselves. We will soon have photos of our suppliers on this page.
* Send our imported goods using sea mail wherever possible. Occassionally we need stock fast, but otherwise we send all our products using Sea Mail as pollution from airplanes is a leading cause of climate change.
* We purchase environmentally sustainable products. Our Happy Cow Pocket Belts are a great example, they are made from recycled leather which is purchased as excess from large furniture manufacturers.
* We send orders to customers using Australia Post, which predominantly uses land transportation rather than the big courier serivces that use air transportation to deliver packages.
* We use low-watt lights in our warehouse and only have lights on when necessary.
* We are plastic bag free! Orders are dispatched in recyclable Australia Post tough bags.
